journey on a fully operational sail-

The Spirit of New Zealand will
sail into Lyttelton on Wednesday
February 15, the final stop on a
voyage with 40 children from Wel-

has been in South Island waters.
The Spirit of New Zealand
Trust gives young Kiwis the
chance to experience life at sea on
courses that help with confidence
and team building.
As a fundraiser to help keep the
ship sailing, the trust operates
relocation voyages, where adults
can pay to sail on the ship to
where the next youth voyage
On February 13 the ship will
leave Lyttelton and sail to Dune-
din -- a three night coastal voyage.

Andrew Moore said it was a fan-
tastic opportunity for people to
experience sailing on a ship of

for a lot of people. Something they
will only get the chance to do once
in a lifetime, that will push them
out of their comfort zone.
Mr Moore said the trip could be
as relaxing, or as much hard work
as each person wanted. There are
approximately 30 vacancies for
the trip, which costs $490 with all
meals included, but travellers will
have to arrange their own trans-
port back from Dunedin.
