manager, Abby Bradley tells of the
tempting daily specials she has
developed with The Brickworks
Restaurant and Bar owner Stephanie
Boot and head chef Andy Coombs.
''We put a lot of hard work in this last
year and that's made a real difference
to our customers.''
Absolutely Fabulous fans would be in
awe of the two-for-one bubbles on
offer for just $8.50 every night, from
5pm until 9pm.
''Wednesday is a really big night,''
Abby says. ''We have live jazz and
blues with Kate Anastasiou from
6.30pm to 8.30pm.''
Live music is not the only attraction
for Wednesday customers. The
restaurant's chef has won consecutive
beef and lamb awards.
''From 5pm, it's all about a thick and
juicy rump steak, cooked to perfection,
with a nutritious salad and fries, for just
$15, but it pays to book,'' Abby warns.
With the beautiful spring twilight
resting on the river, Brickworks'
customers can relax al fresco style, with
drinks and dining in the lovely garden
overlooking the Heathcote.
On Thursdays, tap beers are
discounted from 5pm till 7 pm, and the
Friday night happy hour verges on
blissful for thirsty workers enjoying two
pints or two house wines, or one of
each, plus a side of fries, for $13.
Sundays are great for indulging in a
gourmet burger and a pint for $20, and
Abby suggests taking a Monday night
off to enjoy a succulent roast for $15.
The Brickworks Wine and Food
nights have been an outstanding
success and Abby has another
scheduled for Thursday, September 26.
''Chef outlines the culinary
